Spring Arbor University’s Online MSN Continues Reaching Across the Nation.
Spring Arbor University offers flexible learning for those looking to meet the growing needs of patient care. Fully accredited, SAU’s online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) provides a comprehensive curriculum rooted in ethical practice. Recently, the MSN program has gained access to new territories including Oregon, North Dakota, the District of Columbia and - with some restrictions - Washington. In this article, we’ll discuss the latest updates to help you get started.
A Closer Look at the MSN
SAU’s online nursing suite teaches you how to improve treatment quality and efficiency. Students with or without their Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) can work towards their MSN online. With multiple areas of focus, students can choose the best track that fits their career goals.
The following graduate degrees are available for BSN holders:
- MSN/NP (Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology, Primary Care)
- MSN/ Education (MSN-ED)
- MSN/MBA
For nurses who already hold an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN), or have an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), they can earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing with an ADN to BSN program while pursuing an MSN. The following bridge programs are available:
- RN-MSN/ NP (Family Nurse Practioner or Adult-Gerontology, Primary Care)
- RN-MSN/ Education
- RN-MSN/ MBA
All of SAU’s nursing programs are online, clinical, and designed for working nurses. With a steadfast commitment to growth and development, SAU delivers faith-based education while supporting students through a caring community.
State Authorization
As an NC-SARA approved institution, SAU’s accredited online MSN program is authorized in 44 states nationwide. NC-SARA serves as a regulatory system in higher education, overseeing the delivery of distance learning. It assures consistent consumer protection, promoting quality assurance and compliance between universities, accrediting agencies, the federal government, and states.
Currently, SAU offers online nursing programs to residents in all states except the following:
- Alabama
- Arizona
- Louisiana
- New York (in process of approval)
- South Dakota
- Washington (MSN-NP and MSN/MBA approved - MSN-Ed not yet approved)
With expanding coverage, students now in Oregon, North Dakota, and the District of Columbia can enroll in any of SAU’s online MSN programs. For those residing in Washington, the MSN- Nurse Practioner and the MSN/ MBA tracks are both approved. It’s important to note that the MSN/ Education track is still pending approval for this state.
