I remember so clearly the flight to Detroit, on route to our first cohort residency. My Dad had just died the week before and I was trying to finish the required reading on the plane. I was nervous about meeting these people with whom I had developed an unexpected attachment on-line.
What awaited me was a gathering so powerful, so meaningful, that it provided a strong foundation for the trust and intimacy needed for an authentic learning experience permeated by God’s presence. Although the most humble of our 3 locations, it established Spring Arbor as home base and connected us with the larger work of the university.
