Free Application for Federal Student Aid
The first step in applying for financial aid it to fill out a FAFSA (Free Application for Free Student Aid). The results of your FAFSA will be sent electronically to Spring Arbor University, and you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) in three to 10 days. Once your FAFSA has been reviewed and your financial aid eligibility has been determined, you will receive an award letter listing the type(s) and amount(s) of aid for which you qualify. We will then call you to discuss the financial aid for which you are eligible.
Make SAU your first college choice on the FAFSA if you are considering attending SAU. You must complete separate loan request forms for any and all Federal Direct Loans desired.* This is above and beyond the FAFSA form that you are required to submit. Apply in a timely manner and follow up on any aid/loan if you do not receive a response within four to six weeks. Federal guidelines are strict and if all information is not submitted within certain time limits, you may be ineligible for certain types of aid.
