Mary Ann Broda, PhD, APRN, CPNP

Associate Professor of Nursing

Bio 

Dr. Mary Ann Broda’s nursing education and experience span several years. She was inspired to become a nurse from the time she read “Nurse Nancy” at the age of 5. Dr. Broda graduated from Goshen College with her BSN in 1977, worked at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at The University of Michigan after graduating, and then completed her MSN at The University of Colorado and became certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She earned her Ph.D. in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin in 1987. 

Dr. Broda has served as nursing faculty at Northern Michigan University, The University of Texas at Austin, Murray State University, and The University of Michigan. While at Northern Michigan University, she established and served as the administrator/clinical provider for the Northern Michigan Children’s Clinic in Marquette, MI. She lives in Spring Arbor, MI with her best friend/husband, Bob, and has two adult children, a daughter and a son. Dr. Broda enjoy spending time with her family and friends, Christian outreach, the arts, and health promotion. She thanks God for His provision, blessings, and grace!
