Harvard Business Review just released its annual list of the top 100 best-performing CEOs in the world. Rankings were calculated with reliable data and focused on long-term performance, strategic vision, authenticity and many more metrics that can be found here .

The top 10

  1. Jeffrey Bezos, Amazon
  2. John Martin, Gilead Sciences
  3. John Chambers, Cisco Systems
  4. David Pyott, Allergan
  5. David Simon, Simon Property Group
  6. Lars Rebien Sørensen, Novo Nordisk
  7. Hugh Grant, Monsanto
  8. J. Michael Pearson, Valeant Pharmaceuticals
  9. Mark Donegan, Precision Castparts
  10. William Doyle, PotashCorp

Amazon’s CEO Jeffrey Bezos came out on top. According to HBR, his top standing is due to his constant pursuit of Amazon’s clear vision to be “the most customer-centric company in the world.” Additionally, HBR reached out to the Reputation Institute  to help it reorder its list based on how positively the company for which CEOs work are regarded. Below are the rankings.
