Oh, the Places You’ll Go on Read Across America Day

NEA Read Across America BannerToday is the National Education Association’s (NEA) 16th annual Read Across America Day, when an estimated 45 million readers from all over the country celebrate both Dr. Seuss’ birthday and the joys of reading. This year’s book is “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss.

This year is also the 25th anniversary of “Oh, the Places You’ll Go.” In recognition, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, in partnership with NEA’s Read Across America, is offering a $10,000 Kids You’ll Move Mountains! STEAM Scholarship plus other awards. For fun ideas on how other organizations and teachers around the country are celebrating this special day, visit the Read Across America website.

At SAU, we understand literacy to be the foundation of all learning. That’s why we offer a unique, faith-based approach to educating certified teachers who want to earn their Reading Specialist endorsement in Michigan and go on to become literacy advocates for K-12 students.
