U.S. News & World Report recently released the 100 Best Jobs of 2015, and the position of marketing manager claimed the No. 15 spot. Marketing managers plan and coordinate marketing programs for nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
Responsibilities include setting up focus groups to observe how and why people use products and services, developing pricing strategies that help companies maximize profits, and monitoring trends that indicate the need for new or revised products and services. They also leverage data to make the best use of social media to generate buzz. The BLS projects this position will grow 12% between 2012 and 2022, with an additional 25,400 jobs that will need to be filled.
