Females are breaking the record for the sixth year in a row in the business school talent pipeline. Data collected by the Graduate Management Admission Council indicates 43.3% of the global business school pipeline were women who took the GMAT exams for the year ending June 30, 2014. This marked the sixth consecutive year that women broke the 100,000 mark in the number of GMAT exams taken and reflects the lowest male-female ratio (1.31) in GMAT history. It also reflects a 3.7% average annual growth rate in the number of female examinees over the past 10 years.
More than 45,000 female GMAT examinees, or 54% of all women who took the GMAT exam, intend to pursue an MBA degree.
